Snipe Hinges - These trunk hinges are installed by pre-drilling holes in the trunk lid and trunk back.  Drive the hinges in and bend the cotter pin-like ends over so they point back at the wood.  With a heavy hammer held against the loop of the hinge, drive the bent over points back into the wood.
